Year 5 Teacher - Nottingham
An ambitious Nottingham primary is recruiting an inspirational Year 5 Teacher to join Upper Key Stage 2 on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The Year 5 Teacher will design ambitious curriculum sequences, lead booster programmes and support pupils’ transition to Year 6. The successful Year 5 Teacher will plan before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Year 5 Teacher.
The role — Year 5 Teacher
The Year 5 Teacher will deliver progressive mathematics and rich writing sequences as the Year 5 Teacher, lead enquiry topics and practical investigations as the Year 5 Teacher, and run targeted interventions to secure strong outcomes as the Year 5 Teacher. The Year 5 Teacher will also coordinate enrichment visits and prepare transition documentation for Year 6.
Year 5 Teacher Candidate profile
We are seeking a Year 5 Teacher with QTS, proven Upper KS2 experience and the ability to evidence impact. The Year 5 Teacher should be collaborative, reflective and ready to prepare planning prior to January 2026, to attend induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026. Experience of leading booster groups and engaging parents in learning conversations is desirable for the Year 5 Teacher.
