Early Years Specialist Practitioner
- To line manage, lead, and support the development of the Family Hub Early Years Team within an identified District/locality, by providing mentoring, supervision, and appraisals of Early Years Practitioners.
- To advise on and be accountable for the co-ordination, planning, delivery, and evaluation of safe, stimulating play and learning opportunities, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring the delivery of high-quality evidence-based school readiness programmes, for children 0-9 years, meeting the needs of individual children, especially those at risk of developmental delay.
- To actively engage and prioritise expectant parents with children under the age of 3 following evidence and guidance requiring earlier engagement with the most disadvantaged families in line with Nottinghamshire’s Best Start Strategy.
- To lead, chair and facilitate Early Years Team meetings, staff development and training opportunities, ensuring a strong, cohesive, highly skilled early years team.
- Monitor the allocation of work within the locality to support effective and efficient use of resources to meet defined and responsive operational plans.
