Reception Teacher - Welcoming School in Nottingham

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Reception Class Teacher to join our inclusive and high-achieving primary school in Nottingham from January 2026. This is a permanent position, open to full-time and part-time applicants, with potential for TLR for the right candidate.

The Role
Position: Reception Class Teacher
Location: Nottingham
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered
TLR: Available for Subject or Phase Leadership (for the right candidate)
As our Reception Teacher, you will:
- Create a welcoming, stimulating classroom where children explore through play and structured activities.
- Teach early reading (phonics), number sense, communication and physical development.
- Observe and assess children to plan tailored next steps and early interventions.
- Build strong relationships with families to support children’s learning and wellbeing.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and progress within a nurturing environment.
- (If applicable) Lead aspects of the Early Years provision as part of a TLR.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Have strong experience in Reception/EYFS practice.
- Know how to deliver effective phonics and early maths teaching.
- Are excellent communicators and team players.
- Demonstrate patience, creativity and commitment to inclusion.
- Are willing to take on leadership responsibilities if seeking a TLR.
