Assistant Management Accountant

SF are excited to be working with a business based in Nottingham who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to work in a well-established business and progress whilst studying CIMA or ACCA.

This role is ultimately responsible for processing financial transactions, maintain balance sheet reconciliations and completing weekly reporting.
Reporting to the site Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll have the supervision and support needed to excel in this role. You'll be involved in a wide variety of tasks, below is just an example of what you can expect:


- Analysing a large volume of accounts day-to-day
- Weekly and monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Combine data from different sources to produce company weekly margin reports to be presented to internal stakeholders
- Post journals including monthly accruals and prepayments into the accounting software
- Calculate rebates for large variety of clients
- Involvement in the preparation of monthly management accounts for review
- Answer queries from internal stakeholders
- Run monthly P&L for review ensuring efficient cost tracking
- Strive to be constantly improving both personally and from a process perspective
- Liaise with internal teams (such as Payroll, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control) to solve queries and always provide accuracy of accounts


The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Studying CIMA/ACCA
- Experience in preparing Month - end accounts
- Strong Excel skills
- Be driven, self-motivated with a focused attitude to working tasks
