Digital Functional Skills Tutor
Location: Bulwell, NG6
Hours: 8:30 - 4:30 Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP Milk Education is recruiting a passionate and committed Digital Functional Skills Teacher to join an alternative provision setting, working with secondary school-aged learners. This is an exciting opportunity for educators who want to inspire and motivate students who may have faced barriers in mainstream education, helping them to build practical vocational skills, confidence, and a positive attitude towards learning and employment. Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging, high-quality digital functional skills lessons for students aged 11–16.
* Plan and implement hands-on lessons linked to real-life and workplace-relevant content.
* Adapt teaching methods to support learners with SEMH, SEND, or those at risk of exclusion.
* Develop schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with Pearson Digital Functional Skills outcomes.
* Maintain a safe and organised learning environment, following health and safety procedures.
* Track and report on student progress, attendance, and behaviour.
* Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support student achievement and resilience.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to meet learners’ academic, vocational, and pastoral needs.
* Promote positive behaviour, respect, and employability skills in line with provision values.
* Maintain digital media suite equipment and resources for effective learning.
* Identify and complete statutory, mandatory, and professional development training as required.
