The Nottingham Tennis Centre is proud to announce a world-class international tennis event in the run up to The Championships, Wimbledon in 2025

Building on the success of 2024, Nottingham will again host an action packed schedule of tennis in June with the women’s WTA 250 event joined by the men’s ATP 125 Challenger Tour event. The events attract some of the world’s highest ranked players as they prepare for The Championships, Wimbledon on some of the best grass courts in the country.

We are looking to appoint a temporary team to help with the duties of the Ground staff and the Court Covering team from Saturday 7 June through to Monday 23 June 2025. Hours of work will vary each day depending on the weather and the time it takes to complete matches.

Staff will be required for different lengths of time, so later start dates than 7th June are possible for some positions. Packed lunches/meal vouchers will be provided throughout the course of employment, and you will be paid on a monthly basis directly into your bank account.

Duties and responsibilities

• Helping to set up for the day - Setting up courts for play to include – erecting permanent and temporary netting, operating grass court covers, maintaining cups and water on courts, moving benches
• Assisting Groundstaff when required - Work closely with the ground staff crew, helping them prepare the courts if required.
• Assisting Court Covering team when required

• Maintain the highest standard of personal presentation.

• Good availability throughout the tournaments
• An interest in big events, tennis and sporting events desirable although not essential
• Recognise all events and matches are important to the image and the operation of the LTA and the University
