About the Maths Department:
We believe every child can succeed in Mathematics. Our passion is to help every pupil develop a genuine love for the subject through a supportive environment and a thoughtfully designed curriculum. Mathematics is foundational to everyday life — from personal finance and shopping to redecorating, engineering and real‑world problem‑solving. Our curriculum gives pupils meaningful, practical experiences so they can confidently apply their knowledge beyond the classroom.
We also ensure students can use their mathematical understanding across the wider curriculum, with purposeful links to Science, Geography and Design to strengthen reasoning and deepen learning. Alongside strong mathematical foundations, our curriculum develops resilience, logical thinking and problem‑solving skills that empower pupils for education, employment and life.
Our dedicated Maths team believe in every learner’s potential, delivering dynamic, inclusive lessons that spark curiosity and help every pupil thrive.
About You
As a Teacher of Mathematics at Ellis Guilford School, you’ll bring enthusiasm, strong subject knowledge and a drive to help every pupil succeed. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher, you believe all students can thrive in Maths and create lessons that build confidence, curiosity and real‑life understanding.

Deliver high‑quality Maths lessons at KS3 and KS4.
Hold high expectations and be committed to strong pupil outcomes.

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
Recent, successful teaching experience in Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 (placements accepted for Early Career Teachers).
Ability to plan engaging, challenging learning that inspires pupils.
