Our client, a highly respected independent 11–18 school in Nottinghamshire, is seeking a talented, dynamic and forward-thinking Music Teacher to join their thriving Performing Arts Faculty from January 2026. This permanent, full-time post offers the opportunity to teach highly motivated students in a department known for excellence in performance, creativity and musicianship.

The appointed teacher will teach Music across KS3–KS5, supporting students in developing strong performance technique, theoretical understanding, composition skills and ensemble musicianship. The department prides itself on its vibrant extracurricular programme including choirs, orchestras, chamber groups, jazz ensembles and annual concerts.
You will contribute to classroom teaching, ensemble leadership, instrumental coaching and whole-school musical events. Candidates with strengths in composition, choral direction or instrumental specialisms are particularly encouraged to apply.
Experience and Qualifications
• QTS/PGCE and a degree in Music or related discipline
• Ability to teach Music at GCSE and A-Level
• Strong performance or composition expertise
• Experience directing ensembles is highly desirable
• Commitment to inspiring musical excellence in young people
