Health & Safety Compliance: Conducting and recording statutory safety checks, including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting, and water hygiene (Legionella) monitoring.
Contractor Liaison: Supervising external tradespeople and cleaning staff, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with school safeguarding policies.
Logistics & Porterage: Organising the layout of furniture for examinations, assemblies, and community events, as well as managing the safe receipt and distribution of deliveries.

Why This School?
Nottingham’s Academic Network: Work in a well-connected city with a supportive network of schools and excellent local amenities.
Stable Estates Team: Join an experienced Site Manager and a friendly team of assistants who value a common-sense approach and a strong work ethic.
Modern Equipment & Facilities: Benefit from a well-stocked workshop and a commitment to ongoing investment in the school’s physical infrastructure.
Professional Development: Access to certified training in Health & Safety (IOSH) , COSHH , Manual Handling , and specialised trades to support your career in facilities management.
Candidate Profile
Experience: Proven experience in a caretaking, building maintenance, or a trade background is essential.
Technical Skills: A competent "DIY" skill set with the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Reliability: A punctual and flexible approach to working hours, including a willingness to participate in a shift rotation or occasional "on-call" duties.
Character: A professional, approachable manner with a "can-do" attitude and the physical stamina required to manage a large, busy site.
