Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you confident leading a classroom and supporting students in a secondary school setting?

GSL Education are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Secondary Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Nottingham.

As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and lessons are delivered effectively using pre-set materials.

Responsibilities of a Secondary Cover Supervisor:

Supervise classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay on task
Maintain a positive, focused, and productive classroom environment
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Support students in completing their work and learning activities
Provide guidance and assistance where needed during lessons
Report any behavioural issues or concerns to relevant staff
Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Requirements of a Secondary Cover Supervisor:

Experience working with children or young people is desirable
Confidence in managing a classroom environment
Strong communication and organisational skills
The ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively
A flexible and proactive approach to working in schools
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
