UKS2 Teacher - Nottingham
Join a dynamic Nottingham primary as a UKS2 Teacher from January 2026. The UKS2 Teacher will be central to delivering a cohesive Upper Key Stage 2 experience that develops independence, reasoning and scholarship. Pre-term planning takes place before January 2026, induction is scheduled in January 2026, and classroom teaching begins January 2026.
Core responsibilities - what the UKS2 Teacher will deliver
• Teach ambitious, knowledge-rich programmes across Upper KS2 as the UKS2 Teacher.
• Deliver high-impact mathematics and literacy sequences as the UKS2 Teacher.
• Run targeted interventions, support SATs readiness where appropriate, and lead assessment cycles as the UKS2 Teacher.
• Work with middle leaders to develop subject plans and present progress updates as the UKS2 Teacher.
The UKS2 Teacher will prepare schemes and materials before January 2026, refine approaches during induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026.
UKS2 Teacher Requirements
• QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) and solid Upper KS2 experience as the UKS2 Teacher.
• Strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom practice and the capacity to lead whole-class interventions as the UKS2 Teacher.
• Able to attend planning sessions before January 2026, complete induction in January 2026, and start teaching in January 2026.
Development & outcomes
This Nottingham UKS2 Teacher position provides clear CPD, peer coaching and opportunities to take on curriculum leadership. The UKS2 Teacher will see measurable pupil progress and will be part of a supportive staff team from January 2026.
