Site Trainer – Operations
Role Purpose
We are looking for a Site Trainer for 12month FTC to plan, deliver and develop Health & Safety, Food Safety and Technical Compliance training programmes across the site. Working closely with department heads, you will help build team capability, improve skills and support overall site performance. This role reports to the HR Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging classroom and on-site compliance training (HSE, Food Safety, Technical).
Work with department leaders to identify training needs and develop structured training plans.
Manage and maintain the site training matrix, ensuring gaps are identified and addressed.
Coordinate internal and external training courses and act as the site contact for training providers.
Deliver site inductions and support on-the-job trainers across departments.
Maintain training records, attendance and documentation.
Support internal and external audits and promote a strong health & safety and food safety culture.
Provide Train-the-Trainer support for shop floor trainers.
Skills & Experience
Experience in a Training Coordinator / Trainer / Learning & Development role.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple training programmes.
Experience designing and delivering training in a workplace environment.
Knowledge of learning management systems and modern training methods.
Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to deliver (or work towards delivering) Level 2 & 3 training in Health & Safety, Food Safety and HACCP.
Desirable
Training qualification (e.g. City & Guilds Training Skills).
Experience in food manufacturing or lean manufacturing environments.
Experience working with diverse teams.
