Edson & Co are looking for bright, enthusiastic Apprentice Joiners to join their team. We are a family-owned business specialising in high-end residential bespoke joinery that has been trading continuously since 1885. All Edson staff are time-served craftsmen with many years' experience of producing high quality joinery and cabinet work.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Assisting in the manufacture of high-quality cabinetry
• Undertake the correct training to work with full construction drawings
• Undertake the correct training to use machinery and hand tools correctly

Training schedule

• The apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Carpentry and Joinery Level 2
• The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course
• This is a Day Release programme, which means you will attend Lincoln/Newark College, 1 day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

English and Maths (grade A*/9 - C/4)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
