Teacher of PE (0.6+)
Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of PE (0.6+) to join an all girls high school based in Nottingham.
The role
The Girls’ High School is seeking an inspirational, well‑qualified and experienced educator who is passionate about their subject and committed to helping girls develop confidence, resilience and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity and sport. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward‑thinking school community that values innovation, inclusivity and the holistic development of every student.
They are particularly interested in candidates with experience in their key sports: netball, hockey, cricket and football, and who are enthusiastic about contributing to their extensive extra‑curricular sports programme. Their department is strong, ambitious and proud of its national success across a number of disciplines. They also offer GCSE and A Level PE, providing opportunities to inspire students in both practical and academic settings.
This position would be suitable for teachers looking for a 0.6 to 0.8 contract.
About the School
At the Girls’ High School, they foster a work environment that is inclusive and supportive, where all students and teachers thrive. Lessons are happy, the curriculum is diverse, and all areas of the school enjoy a focus on excellence in terms of learning and pastoral care. Here, everyone is listened to, valued and respected. They celebrate each individual in their diverse family of teachers, support staff and students, and commit to continually building on their inclusive practices. Therefore, they particularly welcome applications from people from diverse backgrounds.
They have an attractive and open campus that backs on to the Nottingham Arboretum, an ideal place to walk or run during free periods and over lunch. The school is centrally located with excellent public transport links, including a tram stop less than 500m away. They have also recently opened a new Sports Centre which staff may use at certain times and free of charge.
