Year 5 Class Teacher - Nottingham

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Class Teacher to join our inclusive and high-achieving primary school in Nottingham from January 2026. This is a permanent position, open to full-time and part-time applicants, with potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate.

The Role
Position: Year 5 Class Teacher
Location: Nottingham
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered
TLR: Available for Subject or Phase Leadership (for the right candidate)

As our Year 5 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to prepare pupils for Year 6 and secondary readiness.
• Deepen pupils’ subject knowledge, critical thinking and independence.
• Use effective assessment and feedback to promote accelerated progress.
• Create an inclusive classroom that nurtures resilience and aspiration.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity across KS2.
• (If applicable) Take on subject or phase leadership as part of a TLR.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching Upper KS2, ideally Year 5.
• Have a strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to inspire older primary pupils.
• Are reflective, organised and excellent communicators.
• Show enthusiasm, high expectations and commitment to inclusion.
• Are open to leadership responsibilities where appropriate.
