School Finance Officer - Nottingham

A respected and well-organised secondary school in Nottingham is seeking a committed School Finance Officer to join their established Finance & Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the administrative backbone of a successful school.
The Role
You will support the efficient management of the school’s financial operations and ensure that all financial processes are compliant, accurate, and aligned with trust and statutory requirements.
Your responsibilities include:
Processing all income and expenditure transactions
Managing purchase orders, invoices, and supplier correspondence
Supporting financial monitoring, forecasting, and management reporting
Reconciling accounts, managing cash flow, and preparing audit documentation
Managing financial arrangements for school trips, resources, and departmental activities
Supporting payroll checks and HR financial record-keeping
Maintaining accurate, organised, and secure financial documentation
Liaising with stakeholders including staff, suppliers, auditors, and trust finance teams
