- Quality Assurance: To verify and analyse service delivery outputs for children and families’ services against regulatory inspection bodies’ quality requirements.
- Quality Control: To lead on the continuous development and review of cross-departmental policies, procedures and guidance, taking into account statutory and regulatory frameworks and changes in national policy and in local practice
- Continuous Improvement: To aggregate and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify areas for, and methods of, service improvement and to plan and test the effectiveness of those improvement actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree or equivalent level of experience in a relevant area, this may include project management, health and social care.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures, project management or information analysis
- Good knowledge of children’s social care legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral) – with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate with confidence across a broad range of stakeholders – including frontline staff, leadership, safeguarding agency partners and children and families where appropriate.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Proficiency in using IT systems and software for reporting and analysis.
- A full driving licence and access to transport to support delivery of in-person service activity across NCC offices.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to quality evaluation and reporting.
- Team Collaboration: A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Adaptability: The capacity to adjust to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
