This is an opportunity to diversify and expand your skill set as a dietitian to work within and across multidisciplinary wards teams within the care units of adult mental health and older persons Care unit (OPCU) to enable and drive high quality effective, accessible dietetic expertise and management.

The roles covers Highbury Hospital and Sherwood Oaks

While experience in mental health is advantageous for the candidate, we also encourage applications from those with other transferable skills. You should be adaptable, enjoy variety, and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively. We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and highly motivated dietetic clinical lead to make a difference to the lives of our patients.

Therefore, applicants should have:
  • Proven clinical, leadership and professional skills to shape and drive specialist dietetic input in the areas of adult and older persons mental health.
  • A collaborative approach engaging ward team members and others.
  • An aptitude to promote and maintain high standards of care through excellent communication, motivation, supervision, and support to develop staff.

The post holder is responsible for their own complex caseload providing highly specialist dietetic assessment, formulation and diagnosis, intervention and advice based on evidence-based practice.

The post holder will lead on strategic developments within adult mental health dietetics with their line manager and dietetic professional lead. They will also lead on the development and delivery of dietetic training and professional mentorship

The post holder will deliver nutritional guidance and preventative information, working to empower parents, carers, other professionals and agencies.

The post holder will work as part of the wider multi- disciplinary team providing a high quality, effective, accessible, person-centred services.
