Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.

This will be to assist colleagues across the SU’s retail outlets in providing an efficient and professional level of customer service, ensuring the highest levels of service are maintained at all times to required standards

Pay Rate: £12.21 (Rising to £12.71 from April 1st)

Duties and responsibilities

• Provide an efficient and friendly service to the customer exceeding customer expectations.
• Deal with customer queries and complaints in a professional manner.
• To operate the till and accept payment in accordance with prevailing Company policies.
• To observe trading standards in accordance with prevailing Company policies and statutory requirements.
• To make optimum use of working time by ensuring that cleanliness, presentation, and general housekeeping is attended to during downtime.
• To assist with replenishment and merchandising of stock in accordance with set standards and statutory requirements.
• To assist with the receiving, checking orders and storage of deliveries.
• To assist in minimising shrinkage of stock through rotation, date code-checking and temperature control
• Maintain a high level of stock security at all times and report any deficiencies to the manager immediately.
• To assist in maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe sales floor area, warehouse and staff areas.
• To work to the “clean-as-you-go” principle and carry out cleaning according to the set rota.
• To maintain vigilance for suspicious customers and security risks, following the set guidelines.
• To be responsible for the result of your till float in accordance with Company policies; ensuring all monies and tenders are handled correctly whilst maintaining the correct use of all other till functions, e.g. refunds, voids etc., to ensure that cash and stock loss is minimised.
