At Specsavers, getting payroll right really matters. It’s not just about numbers and deadlines – it’s about making sure tens of thousands of colleagues across the UK are paid accurately, on time, and with confidence. We’re looking for an experienced UK Payroll Services Manager to lead this critical service and play a key role in shaping the payroll experience for colleagues across the UK.
This is a senior leadership role within our People Operations function, where you’ll take ownership of the strategic and operational delivery of payroll, pensions, expenses and benefits. Working closely with teams such as Employment Tax, Finance, Technology, People Services and ER, you’ll ensure payroll services run smoothly, compliantly and in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs. You’ll also act as a trusted escalation point for complex queries and help embed legislative and business driven changes into the payroll calendar, while continuously improving how we work.
This role offers the chance to make a real impact. You’ll champion operational excellence, drive continuous improvement and help develop a capable, confident payroll team with the skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding service. With responsibility for statutory compliance, pensions governance, expenses and benefits administration, and KPI reporting, you’ll be at the heart of a service that touches every colleague.
We’re looking for someone with deep payroll and pensions expertise, strong leadership capability with experience of leading change and transformation. You’ll also have a collaborative approach, be someone who enjoys working with stakeholders and solving complex challenges. If you’re CIPP qualified, confident working across multiple payroll cycles and pension schemes, and comfortable using data and systems to improve performance, you’ll feel right at home here.
If you’re ready to take on a role where your expertise really makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
