Teacher of Computer Science - Secondary School - Nottingham

About the Role
As Teacher of Computer Science , you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and timetable. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops:
Strong computational thinking and problem-solving skills
Secure understanding of programming concepts and algorithmic thinking
Knowledge of computer systems, networks, cybersecurity and data representation
Digital literacy skills and responsible use of technology
Exam confidence through modelling, deliberate practice and structured feedback
Students will have opportunities to develop confidence in coding and to apply knowledge to real tasks and challenges. Lessons are structured to be engaging, rigorous and accessible, supporting learners with different starting points through effective scaffolding and stretch and challenge.

Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
Have strong subject knowledge in Computer Science / Computing
Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons with high expectations
Use assessment effectively to identify gaps and secure progress
Build positive relationships and maintain a calm, purposeful classroom culture
Work collaboratively within a supportive Computing team
