Full Time (38 hours per week)
£18,082 - £19,382 per annum
£9.13 - £9.78 per hour

You must be able to work flexibly across a range of shift patterns including days, nights, evenings, weekends and bank holidays etc. and be able to travel between services when required.A valid and full UK driving licence is essential for this position.
The ASM position will require someone with at least 12 months prior experience of working in demanding learning disability or mental health services.

The Person
Successful applicants will be:

• A car driver and willing to drive vehicles for work purposes
• Flexible to work a range of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, wakeful nights, sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays.
You will be an experienced Support Worker as you will be required to undertake the full range of support duties and act as a positive role model for achieving high standards of support. You will also be an effective communicator, able to develop strong working relationships and able to promote and create a person-centred culture within the team.
The Role
Community support role for a male tenant in the Bingham area. Tenant prefers to receive support from male staff who can support him with pursuing interests such as DJing, the army and animals. The ideal staff member will be tolerant, resilient and a creative quick thinker – this tenant will be demanding of them at times. They should also be able to use humour and clear confident communication to resolve difficult situations. Working in a team of 15, candidates will be provided with comprehensive specialist training and ongoing support from Perthyn and local professionals.
To effectively develop and manage a team of staff in providing person centred support to individuals with a learning disability, thus enabling them to live within their own home, increasing their independence and decision making and ability to actively participate in their community.You'll also help people to engage in work, social and leisure activities in the community.Reporting to and working with the Community Support Manager you will be responsible for the effective delivery of person-centred services and the day to day management and development of a team of Support Workers.
Primary responsibilities include coaching and developing team members, rota management and enabling staff to support individuals to exercise choices and make decisions following the principles of the Mental Capacity Act.
