Full-Time Optical Assistant – Independent Opticians, Beeston

An established Independent Opticians in Beeston is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Optical Assistant to join their team full-time. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can make a real difference to patients while developing your career.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting customers with frame selection, lens options, and other optical products.
• Dispensing to all levels with confidence.
• Conducting pre-screening tests and gathering information for the optometrist.
• Handling administrative duties, including appointment scheduling and record-keeping.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment.
• Providing excellent customer service and resolving queries professionally.
• Collaborating with the optometrist and wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an optical dispensing role.
• Confident in dispensing to all levels.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Basic knowledge of optical terminology and products.

What’s on offer:

• Salary: £27,000 per annum.

Working hours:

• Monday to Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Closed Thursdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays
