About the Role
A thriving and high-performing secondary academy in Nottinghamshire, recognised as Good by Ofsted, is seeking a creative and motivated Teacher of Design & Technology to join its Technology faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students through design thinking, innovation and hands-on learning. This post is ideal for a teacher with a passion for creativity, problem-solving and modern design education — someone who enjoys helping students turn imaginative ideas into real, tangible outcomes.
The Department & Facilities
Design & Technology is a dynamic and well-established department, offering a broad curriculum covering product design, materials, electronics and textiles. The team is collaborative, forward-thinking and proud of its role in fostering technical skill and creative confidence.
Facilities include:
- Spacious, modern workshops equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters and CAD/CAM software
- Dedicated classrooms for product design, textiles and graphics
- A well-stocked materials store and technician support for practical lessons
