Year 2 Class Teacher - Nottingham

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Class Teacher to join our inclusive and high-achieving primary school in Nottingham from January 2026. This is a permanent position, open to full-time and part-time applicants, with potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate.

The Role
Position: Year 2 Class Teacher
Location: Nottingham
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered
TLR: Available for Subject or Phase Leadership (for the right candidate)
As our Year 2 Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that consolidate Year 1 learning and prepare pupils for end-of-KS1 assessments.
- Provide effective formative assessment and targeted interventions to secure progress.
- Promote early reading fluency and confident maths strategies.
- Foster a positive classroom environment where all children feel supported and challenged.
- Work with colleagues and parents to ensure smooth transitions and strong outcomes for pupils.
- (If applicable) Take on subject or phase leadership as part of a TLR opportunity.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
- Are confident in delivering phonics, early reading, writing and maths.
- Are organised, reflective and skilled communicators.
- Show creativity, resilience and commitment to inclusion.
- Are eager to work collaboratively and open to leadership roles.
