We are recruiting for a Deputy Children’s Home Manager to support the Registered Manager across four small, single-occupancy bungalows in Top Valley, providing specialist care for children and young people with learning disabilities . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior or Deputy looking to progress within a well-structured service.
The Role As Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of four 1-bed LD homes
- Lead and support staff teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
- Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Support care planning, safeguarding, and placement stability
- Assist with staff supervision, rotas, audits, and operational tasks
- Act as Manager in the absence of the Registered Manager
- Support inspection readiness and maintain high standards
- Holds a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (essential)
- Has experience working in children’s residential settings , ideally LD
- Has strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Is committed to delivering safe, high-quality care
- Is reliable, proactive, and team-focused
- Salary starting at circa £35,000
