Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects.
• Analyse labour, material, and time requirements. Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assess project risks and incorporate contingencies into the estimate.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients.
• Participate in bid reviews and presentations.
• Track and compare actual costs to estimates post-project to improve future accuracy.

• Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.

• Often works closely with project and commercial teams.

The Candidate will have:

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in estimating or a related construction role.
