The Residential Experience team, within the Student Living team, are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Residential Experience Officer.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out the Residential Experience programme as part of the wider ResX team. This is a wide-ranging role and the successful candidate will need to be flexible and confident and able to work as part of a team but also use their own initiative within the remit of the role. You will have experience of using Office 365, and of using creative processes to organise and deliver your work. You will have great communication skills both in person and in writing, and will work with internal and external stakeholders, providing day to day support with the events and activities on campus. Knowledge and experience of customer service, event planning, learning environments, and student experience is desirable.
You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can demonstrate your ability to meet deadlines and provide and excellent service whilst enabling you to work directly with the residential community. You will be involved in a variety of tasks including event planning and delivery, supervision of student staff, and team work. A high level of attention to detail is required to ensure that events and activities are carried out in halls with a sense of professionalism and community connection.
You will be a dynamic individual that is at ease presenting in front of a Hall of students and in individual one on one conversations. A passion for excellence in customer service delivery is essential. This is dynamic role where no two days are the same and a clear head for critical thinking along with a welcoming approach are essential. You will be a team player as the role requires you to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be effective at problem solving, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be positive, approachable, and proactive
There are three positions available and the post holder will be assigned Halls of residence across the three UK campuses. Hours are full time (36.25 hours per week) and will be carried out in a varying shift pattern that is dictated by the programme. The shifts are either 9.00am to 5.00pm, 12.00pm to 8.00pm, or 2.00pm to 10.00pm and typically each shift occurs at least once per week within a 5 days over 7 working pattern. This role includes weekend working. Due to the frequency that the role holder will be required to drive between sites using a university fleet vehicle a full, current driving licence would be desirable.
