Repairs Surveyor

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Repairs Surveyor to join a growing refurbishment team within a newly restructured Healthy Homes division, working for a social housing contractor.


Working from our Nottingham office and reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering responsive repairs and maintenance across occupied properties. You will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and specifying works, ensuring all repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.


A critical part of this role is ensuring compliance with Awaab’s Law and HHSRS requirements, with a strong focus on tenant safety and meeting all statutory obligations.

The Repairs Surveyor will be required to:

Conduct property inspections to identify defects and repair requirements
Diagnose issues and produce detailed specifications for remedial works
Manage repairs and maintenance programmes from end to end
Ensure compliance with Awaab’s Law and HHSRS hazard standards
Oversee contractors and supply chain performance
Monitor works to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery
Maintain accurate records and reports using internal systems
Deliver excellent customer service within occupied homesKey requirements for this role:

Proven experience as a Repairs Surveyor or similar role
Strong knowledge of building maintenance, defects, and repair solutions
Experience managing multiple workloads across repair programmes
Understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Good IT skills and ability to manage digital systems
