Our client, a dynamic educational organisation dedicated to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), is seeking a talented and compassionate Part-time SEND Tutor to join their thriving team in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. As a SEND Tutor , you'll have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of young learners, guiding them towards academic and personal success.
In this role, you'll be responsible for providing individualised support and tailored learning experiences to SEND students, helping them to overcome challenges, develop essential skills, and reach their full potential. Your exceptional teaching abilities, coupled with your deep understanding of SEND-specific pedagogies, will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Your role will involve:
- Conducting thorough assessments to identify each student's strengths, areas for improvement, and specific learning requirements.
- Developing individualised learning plans that address the unique needs of your students, incorporating evidence-based strategies and assistive technologies.
- Delivering one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions, using a range of teaching methodologies to ensure maximum engagement and progress.
- Providing regular feedback to students, parents, and the wider educational team to track progress and continuously refine the learning approach.
- Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest SEND-related research, pedagogy, and best practices.
As a Part-time SEND Tutor in Nottingham, you'll be part of a vibrant and supportive community that celebrates diversity and champions inclusive education. Your role will offer you the flexibility to balance your passion for teaching with other commitments, as you work up to 20 hours per week at a competitive hourly rate of £30-£42.
To thrive in this position, you'll need to possess a unique blend of skills and attributes:
- Proven experience as a SEND Tutor or Special Educational Needs Teacher, with a deep understanding of SEND-specific teaching methodologies and strategies.
- A relevant teaching qualification, such as a degree in Education, Special Educational Needs, or a related field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for empowering SEND students to reach their full potential.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, enabling you to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of SEND education.
