A highly regarded and well-established secondary school in Nottingham is seeking to appoint an organised and professional School Administrator to join its busy administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who is passionate about supporting education and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of a successful school.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting school operations, ensuring administrative systems run efficiently and providing professional support to staff, students and parents. Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality administrative support to the senior leadership team and wider staff
• Manage incoming communications including emails, phone calls and correspondence
• Maintain accurate student records and update school management information systems
• Support attendance monitoring and student data administration
• Assist with school admissions and transitions processes
• Coordinate meetings, events and appointments for staff and leadership
• Prepare documentation, reports and internal communications
• Support the organisation of school events, examinations and parents’ evenings
• Maintain confidential records and ensure data protection procedures are followed
• Provide a professional first point of contact for visitors, parents and external partners
• Work closely with teaching and pastoral teams to support school operations
• Assist with general office administration including filing, record keeping and scheduling

Requirements
• Experience working in an administrative or office-based role (school experience desirable)
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and school management systems
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Professional and approachable manner when interacting with students and parents
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
