General Maintenance Operative

Salary: £27,000.00 – £29,000.00 per year

Location: Nottingham (Full-time) – across all St. George’s Nurseries

Job description:

St. George’s Nursery – one of the leading nursery groups in the East Midlands – is looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Person to join our friendly team. Based in Leicestershire & Nottingham, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the upkeep of our existing nurseries and support the development of exciting new locations as we continue to grow. This role is working 40 hours per week.

Your Role Will Include:

Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across our nursery sites (e.g. painting, minor carpentry, basic electrics)
Supporting the setup and development of new nursery sites
Conducting routine inspections to ensure buildings and outdoor areas remain safe and in top condition
Responding to maintenance requests from nursery managers in a timely and professional manner
Working closely with the rest of our maintenance team and wider support staff
Helping to maintain compliance with health and safety standards

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Has proven maintenance experience
Is confident with a wide range of DIY and repair tasks
Works well independently but also thrives as part of a team
Takes pride in their work and has great attention to detail
Holds a valid UK driving licence (essential)
