About the Role
As Site Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the management and maintenance of the school premises. Your key duties will include:
Overseeing the safety, security, and smooth running of the school site, including buildings, grounds, and facilities.
Managing and supervising a team of facilities staff, including caretakers and cleaning teams.
Planning and coordinating maintenance schedules, repairs, and improvement projects.
Managing contractors and suppliers to ensure high-quality delivery of services.
Monitoring health and safety compliance, including fire safety, risk assessments, and safeguarding requirements.
Supporting school events, including setting up venues, equipment, and signage.
Maintaining accurate records, logs, and reports related to site management.
Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience in site management, facilities, or building maintenance, ideally in an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and motivate a team.
Practical skills in maintenance, DIY, and general site management.
