To strengthen its operational team, the school is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Officer.
Role Overview
The Data Officer will oversee the collection, management, and analysis of student performance data across the school.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and maintaining the school MIS system
Coordinating data collection cycles across departments
Producing progress and attainment reports
Supporting internal assessment tracking
Analysing exam performance data
Preparing reports for senior leadership and governors
Supporting timetabling data processes
Ensuring data accuracy and integrity
Managing statutory census returns
Training staff on data systems and reporting tools
The role requires precision, analytical thinking, and the ability to present information clearly to leadership.
Data & Assessment Structure
The Data Officer works closely with the Deputy Headteacher (Academic), Exams Officer, and Heads of Department to ensure accurate monitoring of student progress.
Candidate Requirements
Experience working with school MIS systems (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or similar)
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines
Organised and structured approach
Understanding of assessment and exam processes
Commitment to supporting school improvement
