We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a strong background in the construction sector to join a growing and dynamic business in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional who understands the complexities of construction finance, including CIS and VAT compliance.

The Role:
As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the company’s financial operations, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting, and full compliance with industry-specific regulations. You will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day financial management, including cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting

Manage payroll processes, including CIS compliance and subcontractor payments

*

Ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition in line with construction contracts

*

Handle VAT returns and ensure compliance with construction-specific VAT rules

*

Prepare and submit HMRC reporting in a timely and accurate manner

*

Maintain strong financial controls and support audit processes

*

Provide commercial insight to support operational and strategic decisions

About You:

Proven experience in a Finance Manager role within the construction industry

*

Strong working knowledge of CIS, VAT, and HMRC reporting requirements

*

Experience managing payroll, invoicing, and subcontractor accounts

*

Excellent understanding of cash flow management in a project-based environment

*

Strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset

*

Confident communicator, able to work closely with operational teams
